The metal fabrication, repair, bodywork, and paint work on this car had their own peculiar challenges. Special tooling had to be made to accurately replicate the floor stampings. Much reasearch and three-dimensional patterning was required to determine the correct shape for the rear body panel, floor and parts of the fenders. With help from PPG's national lab providing the original ultra-fine, gem-like metallic in this two-stage paint along with accurately chosen tints, the original color has been perfectly replicated. This car won a top award at the Studebaker nationals and a cover feature in "Turning Wheels", the national publication of The Studebaker Driver's Club, Inc.
